Hough bummed about 'Rock' lapdance scene edit

The world will have to wait to see Julianne Hough's lap dance on Tom Cruise in the raucous Rock of Ages. And Hough is not too happy about it.
When the movie opens on June 15, the scene where Hough's character does a provocative dance for rocker Stacee Jaxx (Cruise) will not be seen. Director Adam Shankman reportedly cut it after it didn't play well for test audiences.
Hough says she's still bummed, even though the scene will be on the eventual DVD release.
"I don't mean to be on the record saying I'm upset that the world doesn't get to see me give Tom Cruise a lap dance," Hough tells USA TODAY. "The reason I'm upset is we worked so hard on that number. I'm sad no one will see the hard work we put in until the DVD comes out."
The setting has Jaxx offering $10,000 to take Hough's character, so broke she has resorted to stripping in Los Angeles, "upstairs" to a private room at the strip club.
"In the 1980s that means a lot more," says Hough of the private dance. "But it was a musical lap dance, so it's not so upsetting. Tom and I worked on this number for weeks. For me, I felt it was one of the best performances of the movie," she adds. "It was just two people singing and dancing. And it was hard. It was the hardest dance I did. And the same for Tom. He actually got to dance."
Either way, it looks like a wait for the DVD. "I'm excited for people to see it," says Hough. "It really is a spectacular number."
